Meet the Zone 1 Nominees
LORNE BOYCHUK
Hello! I am Lorne Boychuk, a Thorhild County resident who is excited about contributing to the continued success of North Parkland Power. Over my career, I have worked in technical and supervisory roles in the Telecommunication and Oil and Gas/Utility industries. My career included being a Lineman/Cable Splicer, a Process Operator, a Utilities Supervisor, and a Measurement Specialist. I grew up in Thorhild County, and we have owned farmland here for over 35 years. As a recent retiree, my family and I have moved back to the County, and I now spend my days cattle ranching and farming. I have a Telecommunication Electrician journeyman certificate from NAIT and am a 4th Class Power Engineer. In my spare time, I have volunteered on committees such as Minor Baseball, Ducks Unlimited, Ukrainian Dancing and Communities in Bloom in order to better our communities. I believe that every job, both on the farm and off, should be done to the best of your ability with safety at the forefront. I hope that my combination of industry knowledge and work/life experiences will bring a fresh perspective to the North Parkland Power Team.
