Notice to Members: Change to Daily Distribution Rates, effective June 1, 2025
Starting June 1, 2025, we will be transitioning Members from monthly based Distribution rates to daily based rates. Some of our Members are already on daily rate plan, however we are now transitioning the remainder of our Members to a daily Distribution Rate.
What does this mean?
In the past, our fixed Distribution rates were calculated based on an average month length of 30.5 days. With the new structure, these rates will now be charged per day, based on the actual number of days in each billing period month.
Example: Distribution Rate 200 was $54.32 per month (based on 30.5 days). Now it will be $1.7859 per day.
Why the change?
This update is designed to ensure our rate structure is fair, consistent, and transparent across all Member Distribution Rates.
Monthly vs. Daily Rates
While monthly (flat) rates are easy to understand, daily rates are more precise. Members only pay for the exact number of days in each billing period. This creates a more equitable system.
Moving all Member types to a daily rate structure creates consistency and fairness across the board.
What’s Next?
On the back, there is the updated Distribution Rate Schedule, which will take effect June 1, 2025. This change does not affect your energy usage charges, only the way fixed distribution costs are calculated.
