SITE VISIT

After the site visit, an estimate will be drawn up and emailed or mailed to the land owner for approval.

Once the estimate is accepted and the fees outlined in the estimate are accepted and paid, an Electrical Service Contract will be drawn up. Upon signing of the Contract, North Parkland Power Co-op will order the necessary surveys & materials, and schedule a date for the construction of the new service.

In order for your new service to be connected, an electrical wiring permit will be required for the installation. The standard period of time for installation is usually 6 to 8 weeks from the time the Contract is signed.

Our technicians and support staff value our Members, and are there to assist you with any questions you may have throughout the process.

PLAN YOUR YARD SITE

Drafting of a farm or yard site plan is key to establishing the power line route. Take into consideration current and future requirements:
  • House location and other out-buildings
  • Future yard expansions
  • Electrical requirements for your farm
  • Power line route
  • Transformer size
  • Brushing and easement requirements
  • Do you require overhead or underground wiring?
